Position: Category Manager – Seafood
As the Category Manager for Seafood, you’ll be at the forefront of leading sourcing, purchasing, and category management. Your role extends to planning, implementing, and monitoring strategies for continual growth and profitability in the category. Collaboration across departments is crucial to align initiatives with company and category goals.

Responsibilities include:
- Build and lead efficient teams in sourcing, purchasing, and category management.
- Set goals and initiatives with the Vice President & General Manager for profitable category growth.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and optimize the category portfolio.
- Lead inventory optimization and cost reduction efforts.
- Drive creative revenue opportunities with vendors.
- Strategically develop new vendors and products, including private label initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive category growth through promotional strategies.
- Develop training materials and collateral for product promotion.
- Foster strong vendor relationships and consolidate programs for optimal purchasing power.
- Support Frozen Seafood programs at operating companies through travel.
To be considered for the role we are looking for:
- Experience: 5+ in relevant food industry and management roles.
- Seafood experience including knowledge of import, regulations and vendor management is preferred. Or 5+ years in specialty food and management.
- Education: Bachelor’s, Culinary degree, or equivalent is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and customer communication skills.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
