Director of Project Finance – Homebuilding
Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Objective: The Director of Project Finance is responsible for creating custom lending solutions and arranging debt financings for the company’s real estate projects across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom lending solutions for real estate projects, aligning objectives and requirements with business strategies.
- Build and leverage relationships to gather necessary information for reports and portfolio management.
- Cultivate relationships with key lending partners, capital providers, and industry professionals.
- Prepare financing proposals for lenders, including detailed financing structures, project descriptions, and summaries.
- Interpret financial models and underwriting for bank reporting and loan packages.
- Manage a portfolio of loans and oversee the loan closing process, including engaging counsel for review and negotiation.
- Handle administrative tasks such as sourcing information, managing industry data, and ensuring up-to-date documentation.
Key Attributes:
- Strong understanding of corporate finance theory and real estate lending practices.
- Good knowledge of real estate fundamentals, particularly residential property development.
- Excellent financial analysis skills, including financial modeling and discounted cash flows.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex financial concepts to senior executives.
- Ability to build strong working relationships through trust and credibility.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Additional designations (MBA or CFA) are an asset.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a real estate lending environment.
- Previous homebuilding experience
